General Information
Yew Tree House is 15 minutes drive from Junction 22 of the M5 and is situated within walking distance of the dunes and sandy beaches at Berrow. The property offers 4 Diamond Silver Award Bed and Breakfast to families, couples, business travellers and friends. All the individually decorated rooms are spacious and the facilities include shower or bathroom, colour television and tea making. All guests are offered a warm welcome and it is my aim to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Locally there is Berrow Nature Reserve, Berrow Animal Farm, Brean Bird Garden and walks on National Trust Brean Down, Brent Knoll or the nearby Mendip Hills with its spectacular views. Take a short walk down Hurn Lane and across the dunes to seven miles of golden sandy beach, perfect for strolling, sunbathing or swimming.
We are near to Cheddar and its well known Gorge, Wells with its spectacular Cathedral, Weston-super-Mare with its Pier and sandy beaches and Glastonbury Tor and Abbey.
Bath, Bristol, Taunton, the Quantocks and Exmoor are all within easy driving distance. Railway enthusiasts will love the West Somerset Railway, there is the famous Clarkes Village (with its popular factory outlets) in Street and there are a number of houses and gardens locally that are open to the public.
The area is ideal for walking and cycling and is well provided with activity and sporting attractions including horseriding (there are stables nearby), golf (including the well known Burnham & Berrow course), fishing (we have some of the finest waters in the South West for coarse and game fishing) and cricket (County Cricket in Taunton).
There are also many local events such as Farmers' Markets, the Bridgewater Carnival, organised walks and shows in Weston-Super-Mare and at Brean Leisure Park which our guests are able to enjoy.
