John Fowler’s Sandy Glade Caravan Park is just behind us. If you go to the entrance area you will find Chefs Corner and the site bar. Meals are served here, opening times vary with time of year. They close from October to Easter

The Sundowner Cafe & Bar - TA8 2QZ

Located on the sand dunes at the bottom of the road leading to Berrow Beach The café/bar is open most of the year from 9.00 am to 5/6.00 pm.Great views over the beach and sea serves freshly prepared snacks and meals.

10 minutes walk along the Coast Road towards Brean. Bar and restaurant open to all, near the entrance to Brightholme Caravan Park. Good home cooked food, a favourite with our guests.

Bay Of India

15 minute walk along the Coast Road to Brean just beyond Brean Leisure Park on the other side of the road. Indian Restaurant open all year does have a small number of English dishes on the menu.

A 10 minute drive away. Recommended by many of my guests. They enjoy the food and the atmosphere at this family run pub. The food is reasonably priced with good vegetarian options, daily specials, homemade puddings, local beer (Butcombe), and helpful staff. It is advisable to book particularly if there are more than 2 of you. .

Rich's Cider Press Restaurant | Watchfield - TA9 4RD

20 minutes drive away, Rich's Cider Farm has excellent signage from the A38 towards Bridgwater. The restaurant is open from 8.30am to 4.30pm serving tea, coffee and cakes, lite bites and lunch including their excellent carvery. Visitors can also visit the farm shop and book a tour of the cider farm. .

If you are visiting The Avalon Marshes/RSPB Ham Wall, The Duck in the village of Burtle is well worth a visit. The pub is on Station Road just off the main road that goes through the village. It is a large comfy pub with a good menu and a nice garden in the summer.

Drive on the A38 towards Bristol, turn left to Sandford. The Railway Inn is owned and run by Thatchers Cider. It is a gastro pub which provides great food and drink including a large selection of ciders. You can go on a Thatchers Cider tour or for a walk along the Strawberry Line while you are there.

Rowberrow is just off the A38, drive towards Bristol on and then a sharp right turn before you get to the village of Churchill. This Butcombe pub nestled in the Mendip Hills serves good beer and excellent food. Sit inside or out. Good place to walk and explore from.
